Play unusual musical instruments at Orbis Pictus exhibition

The Czech Museum of Music in Karmelitska street in Prague displays a unique exhbition that found inspiration from works of J. A. Komensky, who laid the bases of modern education.

The exhibition called Orbis Pictus was created by twelve Czech artists headed by Petr Nikl. It shows many unusual instruments, that nourish the fantasy of visitors, such as water organ or drums from metal sticks. Everybody can participate in playing the instruments.

The exhibition is well-suited for the whole family. It is held in the Czech Museum of Music in Prague until 30th April. Then it will move into Brno, Kromeriz, Opava and then to Italy and Canada.

The museum is open daily (except Tuesday) from 10:00 – 18:00. From 18:30 there is an additional musical programme for everybody with a valid ticket for the exhibition (ticket for the additional programme only is available for 100 CZK).
