Easter 2007 in Prague
Next to the Easter markets in Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square you can visit many places in Prague where Easter is celebrated. One of the places could be Prague Zoo in Prague-Troja and its Easter markets with Easter whips, painted eggs and competitions.
Supreme Bulgrave’s House at Prague Castle will hold an Easter exhibit with old Czech craft demonstrations from 4th to 9th April. From 1st to 9th April you can see Easter traditions connected with flowers in Prague Botanical Garden.
Another option is Church of Sts Simon and Jude that offers an Easter concert Quartetto Cortentante on 5th April. Bohuslav Martinu’s composition is held in the Estates Theatre on 6th April. On 12th April you can attend Easter concert Solideo in the Bulgrave’s House chamber hall in Vysehrad.
If you want to go to mass, you can visit St Vitus Cathedral at Prague Castle. Masses are there especially on Sundays 1st and 8th April and Monday 9th April (mostly at 8 a.m. and 11 a.m.).
