Londoner Seal, the Grammy-avarded singer , songwriter and composer sppeared at British house scene with his hit Killer, followed by Crazy, which hit top ten and Seal became famous with critics and public as well. His four suessful albums brought a typical fusion of soul, pop, rock and rnb.

He comes to prague armed with his new album System, published in 2007 in cooperation with Stuart Price, the co-author of Madonna’s Confessions on a Dancefloor and an author of remixes for No Doubt and Coldplay.

His music has undoubtable art value, so much lacked by most of the pop artists you hear every now and then from a radio. Seal is able to compose very complex melodies, often spiced with melodical pearls, hidden, waiting until you have listened it closely. Seal’s a little rusty baryton multiplies the dreamy atmosphere in new songs.

American songstress Suzanne Vega with her new album of last summer Beauty and Crime is coming to Prague. She sings about New York, love and violence and she still changes from adulthood of her show to soft, girlish melancholy. The typical rock of 80’s still lives! We can probably can look forward to her songs Luka and Tom’s Diner.

Her new songs have a dimension of chansons and they are quite various, as it is inspired by New York. There are known spots at her new album – the story of Sinatra with Ava Gardnera, a memory of a porn star Bettie Page. Her music? She juxtaposes acoustic guitar-driven melodies with coolly synthesized beats; intensely personal lyrics with compelling, short story-like narratives.

Her concert is on 1st July 2008 in Prague, Congress Centre.

The Canandian songstress Alanis Morissette performs in Prague with her June album Flavors of Entanglement.

The pop megastar Celine Dion introduces herself to her music fans in the Czech Republic. Within the world tour Taking Chances she is going to sing in Prague.

The tour, on which she is going to visit more than hundred of cities in five continents was started in February 2008.

Celine Dion, often labelled as the best selling woman interpret of all times, have sold over 180 million copies and gained over 1000 significant trophies, including Grammy, Oscar, Golden Globe, World Music, Juno and Felix Awards.

The American musician Lenny Kravitz returns to Prague for his third concert after four years. He plays today and by tomorrow he is already in Bratislava.

The American musician Lenny Kravitz returns with his eight studio tape. The person, who “would like to be a Jimmi Hendrix of our time, but he is such a good Lenny Kravitz already.” His advantage is, we mostly remember his strong moments, such as Are You Gonna Go Ma Way from 2993, and Fly Away or American Woman, from the end of 90’s for which he got the Grammy.

His music bears influence of retro style, soul, funk, psychedelics and even folk. His voice is surest in romantic ballads. He plays today in O2 Arena, where else than in Prague.

After Kylie Minogue, the other songress with worldwide music influence comes for the first time to Prague. The Songress and pianist, born in 1981 in New York, has sold 28 million records worldwide, and even in the CR people have bought a few dozens of thousands, which means it is quite good.

Her musical development went from mastering Chopin, Beethoven or Mozart at the age of seven, than she went to jazz. At the age of fourteen, she wrote her first song Butterflyz. It was published on her album in 2001; Songs In A Mirror. About 12 million people bought the record and she gained five Grammy prizes for it.

Alicia Keys became a fixed star of the music scene. The album form 2003 called The Diary of Alicia Keys stood on the first place of American hit parades, and the whole sale reached 9 million copies.

One of the most expected concert of this year comes. The big show starts 12th May 2008 in Prague. Kylie Minogue is at her biggest tour of her singing career. The costumes for her show were made by the uber-famous French designer Jean Paul Gaultier. Her stylist William Baker said it is time Kylie would give up her hotpants and come with something which would show her more mature and charming.

“Dresses by Gaultier are incredibly sophisticated, we try to move them a level up.” Baker stated. Kylie is on a tour of her life: In less than 4 months, she is going to visit 33 European cities. 19 yo Rhianna should arrive to Prague today at 11, which means one of the most popular singers of contemporary pop-music will finally make her appearance in the Czech Republic. The show of the star from Barbados comes to us to introduce her new album Good Girl Gone Bad, from which the hit Umbrella owned most hit parades of Britain.

The show starts at seven, tonight. There are still free seats, tickets are at the spot for 990czk (40€). What can you look forward to? The HC Sparta arena hosts her stage, which means five trucks and four buses. Her team is made by 45 people.

Club Radost FX presents “Rico Birthday Jump off” with a very special guest Nathan (uk). Special appearance birthday set by DJ Fingarz & DJ Big T (uk)

Nathan is a British R&B singer, most famous for his top 40 hit single Come into my Room, which was released on V2 Records. He has since released three other singles, including Round and Round, which received a limited release in late 2005 and Cold as Ice in 2006, a promo only single. His latest record label Do Without my Love was released on 12 March 2007.

The popular Swedish glam rock band The Ark is going to play in Prague on the 7th October.

The Ark achieved success with their debut album We Are The Ark (2001), which was awarded two Swedish Grammy Awards. The band has also represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest this year, with the hit single Worrying Kind from their latest album Prayer for the Weekend.

The Ark shows are well-known for being lively and flamboyant. Their show in Prague will take place in Rock Café (Narodni Street 20) and they will be supported by local instrumental band Sunflower Caravan. Tickets are available at Ticketpro and Ticketportal for 250,- CZK (300,- at the venue).

The regular concerts EuroConnections will continue in Palac Akropolis in Prague with the concert of French music band Nouvelle Vague. They will perform together with Miou Miou on 27th September 2007.

The “New Wave” was put together by Marc Collin and Olivier Libaux. They focus on covers of hits from 1970’s and 1980’s reinterpreted in a bossa nova style. They have covered songs by Joy Division, Depeche Mode, Dead Kennedys, The Cure, Killing Joke and many others. During their carrier they have released two albums Nouvelle Vague I a Bande a Part.

Their concert will take place in the large hall of Palac Akropolis (Kubelikova 1548/27 street). You can get there from metro station Jiriho z Podebrad (line A) via Fibichova street. Palac Akropolis will also present Guitar, David Sylvian and Laurent Garnier in September and October this year.

Fans of the Genesis and Phil Collins may have the last change to see their favourite musicians together. Genesis together with Phil Collins who left the band 15 years ago will perform in Prague tomorrow.

Their big show is planned on the parking place in front of the Sazka Arena (metro yellow line B, station Ceskomoravska). If you didn’t buy tickets, don’t despair, the concert will be audible far away.

Tony Banks, Phil Collins and Mike Rutherford, the main musicians of the ‘current’ band Genesis, started their tour 14 days ago. Their last tour together was in 1992, the band split in 2000.

George Michael’s concert planned for 2nd June was cancelled due to an accident of one of the trucks transporting the equipment for the show. The organizers of the concert planned to give a substitute date for the concert, probably at the end of summer, but finally there be no concert at all.

The undamaged tickets can be returned at the place they were bought. The full refund of the ticket price will be given by the Ticketpro agency from 25th June 2007.

One of the legends of pop music and one of the living musicians who performed in Woodstock, Joe Cocker, will come to Prague to present the songs from his latest album Hymn For My Sole.

Joe Cocker with his characteristic voice will perform in Prague Sazka Arena (near metro station Ceskomoravska) on 12th December 2007. Tickets between 1290 CZK and 790 CZK are available from tomorrow via www.sazkaticket.cz.

Joe Cocker was born in 1944. He has released more than 20 albums during his long music career. He performed in the Czech Republic for the first time in Ostrava in 1998, then he came back to Brno in 2000.

One of the most famous European musicians, Italian pop singer Zucchero, known especially for his songs ‘Senza una Donna’ or Con le mani’ will perform in Prague this September during his world tour 2007.

Zucchero, born Adelmo Fornciari, has recorded 16 albums and has cooperated with many stars, such as Joe Cocker, Paul Young, Elton John, Bono, Sting, Luciano Pavarotti or Eric Clapton.

Prague audience can look forward to his best songs, his Italian charm, temperament and charisma on 14th September 2007 in Prague Congress Centre. Tickets are not for sale yet.

The concert of British singer George Michael in Prague, which was planned on 2nd June, had to be cancelled. The reason is an accident of a truck, which transported equipment for the concert from Bucharest to Prague.

However, the tickets stay valid, because the concert will take place on some later date. It could be at the end of George Michael´s summer tour. The organizers will announce the concrete date till 12th June.

The truck, which had the accident, carried a special platform, which couldn´t be substituted. George Michael apologizes to all his fans for the cancellation of the concert.
